MIAMI (Oct. 22, 2016) -- FIU women's soccer plays its final road game of the regular season Sunday, when the Panthers visit UTSA, with first touch scheduled for 2 p.m. Eastern from San Antonio.

The Roadrunners lost 2-0 at WKU on Thursday night, dropping their record to 7-10 overall and 3-5 in Conference USA.

The Panthers played at home last Sunday against WKU, falling 1-0 to the Lady Toppers, who are back into first place in the league standings. The Panthers are now 2-9-3 overall, 1-4-2 in league games with two regular-season weeks remaining.

The Panthers are led in scoring by senior Alyssa Robinson (Pembroke Pines, Florida / American Heritage), who has four goals and eight points. Senior goalkeeper Sophia Trujillo (Miami, Florida / Gulliver Prep) has played all 1,314 minutes in goal for the Panthers, and her goals-against average has been steadily lowering, now down to 1.78 for the year through 14 contests. She has 76 saves this season.

FIU senior Pat Tomanon (Davie, Florida / Western), on the pulse of the team this week...
"This week was intense, but great preparation for the upcoming game. We went in depth with tactics. We're ready to get wins, and we're determined to get our spot into conference tournament. The team is highly motivated."

Kaja Skare leads the Roadrunners with seven goals and 16 points. Michelle Cole has played nearly half of the team's 1,547 minutes, with 26 saves and a 2.56 goals-against average.

The Panthers will finish the regular season at home next weekend, with a Thursday contest against North Texas and the makeup game from Hurricane Andrew Sunday against Old Dominion. The Panthers will celebrate senior day on Thursday night.
