North Texas postponed game

Rain Postpones Thursday Night's @FIUWSoccer Contest

MIAMI (October 27, 2016) -- Due to heavy rains in South Florida, the scheduled Thursday night women's soccer contest between host FIU and visiting North Texas has been postponed. As this is the last weekend of regular-season play, the two teams had to postpone the contest to Friday afternoon at 1 p.m.

Tournament implications abound for both teams, and the lack of available makeup dates before next week's Conference USA Championship necessitates the playing of the contest Friday. Both teams play again on Sunday, with North Texas traveling to Louisiana Tech and FIU hosting Old Dominion on Sunday. Both of those games were washed out because of Hurricane Matthew earlier this month.

The Panthers are moving their Senior Day celebration to Sunday, following the now-regular-season finale.
