FIU (9-6-2) comes into the match against the Monarchs following a thrilling 2-1 win over No. 6 seed UAB on Wednesday night. Joris Ahlinvi scored both of the Panthers' goals, including the game-winner in the 89th minute, to lead the Panthers past the Blazers.

The win extends FIU's unbeaten streak to seven matches, equaling the longest such stretch since winning seven-consecutive last year. UAB ends its season with a 6-9-3 record.

On the night, FIU kept the UAB defense back on its heels all night, holding a commanding 20-6 shots advantage, including out shooting UAB 11-2 in shots on goal. The Panthers also posted 14 shots in the second half of play.

Arthur Clapot got the win in goal for the Panthers while recording three saves. The senior net minder raises his record to 6-6-2 on the year.

Earlier this season the Panthers handed the Monarchs a 4-1 loss on Oct. 29 in Norfolk, Virginia.
