@FIUSwimDive Sits in Second at Louisville Invitational

LOUISVILLE (Nov. 19 2016) – The FIU swimming and diving team continued its push for a first place finish in the 2016 Louisville Invitational sitting less than 500 points from first place Louisville following Saturday's competition from the Ralph Wright Natatorium.
 
Junior Kyna Pereira was 0.07 seconds off of her personal record in the in the 200 free as part of the 800 Free Relay. The native of Umkomaas, South Africa, notched an NCAA Standard B mark of 1:46.53.
 
FIU's divers continued their dominance, as the Panthers took the top three spots in the 3-meter program. Rebecca Quesnel posted a score of 293.70 in the 1-meter program. Brooke Bouchard recorded a 274.50 and Brittany Haskell notched a score of 266.07.
 
Senior Jennifer Alfani notched an NCAA B standard time on the day with a time of 55.04. Alfani finished with a sixth-place finish.
 
Naomi Ruele notched another NCAA B Standard in the 100 back while Letizia Bertelli and Jennifer Deist notched the NCAA B standard in the 100 fly.
 
The third and final day of the Louisville Invitational will take place on Sunday, Nov. 20.
