BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA (March 3, 2016) -- FIU began its final road trip of the year, but had trouble finding the net in a 71-42 Thursday night loss at UAB in Conference USA action. The Panthers set a new team season high with seven blocks in the contest.

FIU posted its best quarter in the third, but so did the Blazers, outscoring the Panthers 26-13 in the period.

Junior Tianah Alvarado (St. Petersburg, Florida / Gulf Coast State) led the Panthers with 15 points and seven rebounds.

Nikolina Todorovic (Bosnia & Herzegovina) was one point shy of her career high with 11 tonight. Local product Kristian Hudson (Birmingham, Alabama), playing in front of dozens of her friends and family, added 10 points.
