Marshall jumped out to a 1-0 lead after winning the doubles portion of the match. The Panthers dropped two of three doubles results with FIU's lone win coming via the tandem of redshirt freshman Andrea Lazaro and senior Carlotta Orlando defeating Anna Pomyatinskaya and Marija Bogicevic, 6-3.

Freshman Maryna Veskler had her nine-match winning streak snapped with a 6-0, 7-6 (4) loss to Derya Turhan (No. 97) at the No. 1 position. The loss tied the match at 2-all. Orlando gave FIU a 3-2 lead with a 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 win over Pomyatinskaya. Senior Kaitlin Brozovich clinched the match for the Panthers, defeating Anne Gulsrud, 6-1, 6-2.
