Central Florida totaled more than 500 yards of offense en route to a 53-14 win over FIU Saturday night at FIU Stadium. With the win the Knights (2-2) took a one-game lead (3-2) in the all-time intrastate series with the Panthers (0-4).
UCF took the opening possession of the game and went 60 yards for its first touchdown. Running back Dontravious Wilson plunged in from one yard out for the first of his three touchdowns on the night. The Knights followed the touchdown with a two-point conversion on a pass by Nick Patti to Jordan Franks.
FIU answered thanks in part to its special teams.

On the next play
Anthony Jones scored on a 6-yard touchdown run to narrow the UCF lead to 8-7 but that was as close as FIU would get.
