During the 167 games played at FIU, only two have taken place on Friday nights. In those two games, the Panthers have registered a 1-1 mark, defeating Louisville, 24-17, on Sept. 9, 2011 in Louisville, Kentucky, and falling to UCF, 38-0, on Sept. 6, 2013, in Miami.
Welcome to FIU Mr. Thomas

34 is a Little Deceiving
When looking at the final score of last week's 34-13 loss to Indiana, those who did not watch the game would think that the FIU defense gave up a lot of points. In fact, 16 of the 34 total points were scored on two interceptions and one safety. That said, the Panthers' defensive unit allowed just 18 points to the Hoosiers – a team that averaged 36.5 points-per-game in 2015.
In September
FIU will play four games during the month of September this season. The Panthers dropped a 34-13 decision to the Indiana Hoosiers on Thursday, Sept. 1, moving FIU to 12-39 all-time during the ninth month of the year. Under Head Coach
Ron Turner, the Panthers are 4-8 all-time during the month of September.
First-Time Starters
Four Panthers made their first-career starts during FIU's contest with Indiana. Wide receivers
Stantley Thomas and
Tony Gaiter IV, and defensive ends
Newton Salisbury and
Fermin Silva got their first starts at FIU last Thursday.
Making their Debut
During FIU's season-opener versus Indiana, 13 Panthers made their debuts.
Stantley Thomas,

Maurice Alexander,
Andrew Brown,
Austin Maloney,
