ORLANDO (Sept. 8, 2016) -- The FIU women's soccer team started a three-match road trip with a 5-0 loss at UCF on Thursday night in non-conference action at the UCF Soccer Complex. FIU slips to 0-5-1 this season. UCF improves to 4-3.
Â
The Panthers could not get off a shot, and the UCF defense was slippery, eliciting five offsides calls on FIU when the visitors attempted to generate scoring opportunities.
Â
FIU senior keeper
Sophia Trujillo (Miami, Florida / Gulliver Prep) was credited with four saves in the contest.
Â
The Panthers will continue the road swing Sunday, when the non-conference portion of the 2016 schedule concludes at Miami (Florida). The contest is set to begin at 1 p.m.
