-        FIU and Florida Atlantic played their second and final matchup of the season, and the road team took both matchups, with the visiting Owls avenging an earlier loss at their arena with a 3-0 win (29-27, 26-24, 25-23) Friday night at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.

-        Despite losing all three sets, the Panthers lost by the minimum score, two points, in each set, and held the Owls to a .234 attack percentage.

-        Sophomore libero Helene Thelle (Tolvsrod, Norway) had match-high total with 19 digs.  

-        Junior Margherita Bianchin (Traviso, Italy) led the Panthers with 11 kills.

-        Freshman setter Aleksandra Grigoreva (Moscow, Russia) dished out 19 assists, with fellow freshman Molly Feldmeth (South Pasadena, California) adding 13

There were an unusually-high 31 ties in the three-set contest, and the Panthers had a 54 percent sideout mark in the contest.

FIU will host Bethune-Cookman on Halloween night Tuesday at 6 p.m. before hosting their last two home C-USA matches of the season. The weekend action starts with UTEP Friday night at 7 p.m. and the home finale is Sunday against UTSA, starting at 1 p.m.
