MIAMI (November 24, 2017) -- FIU women's hoops hosts the FIU Thanksgiving Tournament this weekend, with two games Saturday and two games Sunday at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center. FIU takes on Alabama A&M Saturday at noon, followed by Hartford and Charleston Southern at 2 p.m. The winners play one another Sunday, with the other two teams facing off in the other matchup. FIU will play the 2 p.m. game on Sunday, with Alabama A&M sitting in the noon slot, with opponents to be determined by game results on Saturday.

The Panthers (1-3) have never faced any of the other team in the tournament in their program history. FIU last won last on Sunday, in a 70-69 victory over Air Force.

Alabama A&M lost Tuesday at home to Austin Peay by three. The Lady Bulldogs barely outrebound opponents, and is shooting just below .400 for the season.

Charleston Southern has won its previous two games and is shooting .429 from three-point range. The Bucs have 50 total offensive rebounds this season.Â

Hartford has lost three in a row and is being outshot nearly 100 points more by opponents. The Hawks have 18 more steals than opponents this season.Â
