MIAMI (November 28, 2017) – The FIU men's basketball team has another quick turnaround with its second game in three days as the Panthers face Florida National University on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. The game can be seen live on CUSA.tv with A.J. Ricketts calling all the action.
The game against the Conquistadors is the second of three games that FIU will play at home this weekend. The Panthers will close out the week against South Alabama on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. It's also the second of nine games that the Panthers will play at home over an 11-game stretch.
The Panthers get back to work following a national television appearance against 2017 Final Four participant, South Carolina on Monday night at home. The Panthers dropped a hard-fought 78-61 decision to the Gamecocks.
Eric Lockett paced the way for FIU with 21 points, while
Trejon Jacob and
Brian Beard, Jr. added 15 and 14 points, respectively in the loss.

- Florida National comes into tonight's game with a 7-3 record following a 87-72 win over Johnson University of Florida in Kissimmee last night.
- The Panthers are not the only NCAA Division I program on the Florida National schedule this season ... The Conquistadors will also face Jacksonville on Dec. 9, Stetson on Jan. 1, and North Florida on Jan. 2.

- Tonight will mark the first-ever meeting between FIU and Florida National.
