Road Trip Concludes Monday as @FIUWBB Visits Morgan State

BALTIMORE (December 3, 2017) -- FIU women's basketball completes its three-game road trip to the mid-Atlantic with a Monday afternoon contest at Morgan State. Tip time is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. from the Hill Fieldhouse. FIU is 2-6 on the season, while the Lady Bears are 5-3.

FIU has lost all three road games, while the Lady Bears have not lost at home in four games this season. As a team, Morgan State shoots better than 40 percent from the field, but the Lady Bears allow opponents better than a 40 percent shooting mark. Morgan State averages nearly 10 steals per game. FIU is 0-2 against MSU's conference opponents (Bethune-Cookman, Howard) from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.

The Panthers got double-doubles from Kristian Hudson and Kiandre'a Pound, but fourth-quarter shooting woes were too much to overcome in a 69-62 loss at Howard Saturday. FIU had four players scoring in double figures for the second-straight time this season, both road games. FIU had a season-best 16 team assists in the game.

The Lady Bears won their fifth-straight game at home, dating back to last season, in a 55-43 win over New Jersey Tech Saturday. MSU shot .434 from the floor and held NJIT to just eight fourth-quarter points in the 12-point win.
