MIAMI (September 29, 2017) – The FIU men's soccer team looks to extend its unbeaten streak to eight on Saturday when the Panthers travel up the road to face Florida Atlantic. First touch is slated for 10 a.m.
The Panthers come into the meeting with the Owls as the only unbeaten team in Conference USA with a 4-0-3 record and a 1-0-1 record in Conference USA. FIU is coming off a 5-0 mid-week shutout win over North Florida on Sept. 26. The Panthers are receiving votes by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, United Soccer Coaches, College Soccer News and Top Drawer Soccer.

Santiago Patino (Orlando, Fla. / Freedom) leads the team in points scored with 16 (7g, 2a) and leads the team in goals with seven. Patino is tied for first in the nation in goals-per-game (1.00) and second in points-per-game (2.29). He also leads C-USA in points, points-per-game, and goals-per-game.
Alessandro Campoy (Miami, Fla. / Immaculata-LaSalle) trails with nine points scored (3g, 3a). In six matches played, goalkeeper
Hugo Fauroux (Cannes, France) boasts a 3-0-3 record, tallying 16 saves. He has allowed only six goals this season and boasts a 0.727 save percentage.
Florida Atlantic comes into Saturday's match with a 1-5-0 overall record and is 1-2 in C-USA. The Owls dropped a 4-0 loss at No. 15 Kentucky on Sunday. The lone win for FAU was a 2-1 overtime decision at South Carolina on Sept. 9.
Following Saturday's match, the Panthers will return home to face Marshall next Saturday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m.
