BOWLING GREEN, Kentucky (January 10, 2018) -- Following their first Conference USA win of the season on Sunday, the FIU Panthers women's basketball squad plays its first league road game of the season at WKU. The tip will be at 8 p.m. Eastern from E.A. Diddle Arena. FIU is 4-11 overall, 1-1 in C-USA. WKU sits at 11-4, and off to a 2-0 C-USA start.

FIU and WKU are coming off of wins last weekend to finish the opening weekend of C-USA play. FIU took a 52-point loss at WKU on New Year's Day of 2017, the fourth-straight win for the Lady Hilltoppers over the Panthers.Â

FIU got its largest lead of the season, 23 points, and ended up winning by 13 at home over Marshall last Sunday. FIU tied its all-time Conference USA high with 56 team rebounds.
Kiandre'a Pound had a career-best 19 rebounds to go with 21 points, while freshman
Callie Cavanaugh had her first career double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.Â

The Lady Tops got 23 points from Ivy Brown and 22 from Tashia Brown as they won at home, 81-60 over Southern Miss, on Saturday. WKU held the Golden Eagles to just seven second-quarter points in the rout. WKU shot .456 for the game, and hit 22 of 26 free-throw attempts.
