MIAMI – The FIU volleyball team closes out its 2018 regular season road schedule this weekend as it travels to Bowling Green, Kentucky to face WKU on Nov. 2, at 7 p.m., and then to Huntington, West Virginia, on Nov. 4, for a 1 p.m. tilt with Marshall.

A LOOK AT FIU
The Panthers come into this weekend's match against boasting a 14-10 overall record and a 6-4 mark in Conference USA …The Panthers will look to snap a three-match losing streak … They find themselves all alone in sixth place in the C-USA standings … FIU is one win shy of equaling its most wins in a season since 2015 when it recorded 15 victories (15-13), and its 14 victories is the second most wins in a season in the last seven years … Margherita Bianchin (Venice, Italy) comes into this weekend tied for second in the nation in triple-doubles with four on the year … She also leads the team and is ninth in Conference USA in kills (318), averaging 3.46 per-set, is seventh in points-per-set (4.04), and 12^th in aces-per-set (0.26) in Conference USA … In addition, Lina Bernier (San Juan, Puerto Rico) is third in digs-per-set (4.82), Abbie Hughes (Mason, Ohio) is ninth in assists-per-set (8.48), and Nina Petranovic (Polzela, Slovenia) is 19^th in kills-per-set (2.61) in C-USA.
 
A LOOK AT WKU
The Hilltoppers come into their match with FIU with a 16-9 overall record and an 7-3 mark in Conference USA following its 3-1 win at UTSA on Oct. 26 … WKU is currently in fourth in the C-USA standings, behind Rice (10-0), Florida Atlantic (8-2), and UTSA (8-3) … The Hilltoppers are 4-4 in their last eight matches, however are 12-5 in the previous 17 matches … Rachel Anderson is one of two players roster with over 200 kills, logging 329 on the year … In all, six players have 100 or more kills this season … Taylor Bebout is the team leader in assists with 757, with Mary Martin in second with 209 … Payton Frederick leads in digs with 325, while Emma Kowalkowski (237) and Darby Music (201) each have better than 200.
 
A LOOK AT MARSHALL
Marshall comes into the weekend with a 10-15 overall record and a 3-8 mark in Conference USA … The Thundering Herd sits in 10^th in the C-USA standings … Marshall has dropped its last three matches, and eight of its last 11 … Ciara Debell is the lone player in the roster with over 200 kills, logging 389, while four other players have better than 100 kills … Gabrielle Coulter leads the team in assists with 851 and Amber Weber is tops in digs with 495.
 
A LOOK AHEAD
Following Sunday's match against Marshall, the Panthers will return home on Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. to take on Middle Tennessee, before closing out the regular season on Nov. 10, at 1 p.m. against Rice.
