MIAMI – The FIU volleyball team gets back on the court with two matches in three days, beginning on Friday, Oct. 5, when Louisiana Tech visits the Ocean Bank Convocation Center. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. The Panthers then hit the road and head up Interstate 95 to Daytona Beach to butt heads with Bethune-Cookman on Sunday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m.

A LOOK AT FIU
The Panthers come into their match with LA Tech boasting a 10-6 record and a 3-1 mark in Conference USA, and have won four of their last five matches … FIU has already posted its most wins in a season since the 2015 campaign when it recorded 15 victories (15-13) and a share of the third most wins over the past seven seasons … Margherita Bianchin (Venice, Italy) leads the team, and is eighth in service aces (0.33 sapg) and ninth in kills (3.38 kpg) in Conference USA … In addition, she is also seventh in points-per-game (4.08) … Abbie Hughes (Mason, Ohio), the reigning C-USA Setter of the Week, is ninth in assists (8.49 apg).   
 
 A LOOK AT LA TECH
The Techsters hold a 6-12 record and a 1-2 mark in Conference USA play … LA Tech has dropped its last two-straight and three of its last four matches … Kaitlyn Adams leads the team in kills with 174 while Madeline Davis is second with 145 … Davis is also seventh in C-USA in hitting percentage .328).
 
A LOOK AT BETHUNE-COOKMAN
As of Oct. 4, Bethune-Cookman boasts a 7-9 overall record and a 0-2 mark in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference … The Wildcats will host Florida A&M on Oct. 5, at 4 p.m. before FIU comes to town … Bethune-Cookman has dropped its last four matches, through its 3-0 loss at North Carolina A&T on Sept. 30.
 
A LOOK AHEAD
Following Friday's meeting with LA Tech and Sunday's contest at Bethune-Cookman, the Panthers will travel to the Lone Star State to face UTSA on Oct. 12, at 8 p.m. ET, and then to UTEP on Oct. 14, at 2 p.m. ET.
