MIAMI (February 9, 2018) – FIU women's basketball completes a weekend homestand Saturday afternoon against Middle Tennessee at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center. The Conference USA game, which tips at 2 p.m., will air on BeIN Sports Connect.
The Panthers and Blue Raiders have met 36 previous times, with MT taking the last 10. Middle owns a 27-9 series edge, including 10 wins in 18 games in Miami.
FIU has dropped five in a row. The Panthers had an off-shooting night at home on Thursday, falling to North Texas 92-46. FIU shot .283 on the home floor, the worst shooting night at home this season. FIU was held under 10 points in both of the first two quarters, and was unable to make a comeback.
The Blue Raiders have won three of their last four contests. Middle won by four at Florida Atlantic Thursday night, 69-65. MT shot .451 in the contest, holding FAU to a .382 shooting night. Two Blue Raiders, Abby Sisson and Jess Louro, hit four three-point field goals each. The team shot .452 from long distance, knocking down 12 from behind the arc.
