MIAMI  (Sept. 11, 2018) – Week 1 of the NFL regular season is in the books, so now it's time to recap how former FIU Panthers performed in last week's games.    
 
FIU currently has seven former Panthers in the NFL, headlined by former standouts T.Y. Hilton, Johnathan Cyprien and Jonnu Smith. Below is a full rundown of FIU's current players in the NFL and how they did in week 1.
 
T.Y. HILTON (FIU - 2009-11)
Week 2 Schedule: Colts at Redskins (Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET)
In the opening game of the season that saw the return of QB Andrew Luck, Hilton caught five balls for 46 yards and a touchdown. The Bengals rallied to beat the Colts 34-23.
 
JOHNATHAN CYPRIEN (FIU - 2009-12)
Week 2 Schedule: Texans at Titans (Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET)
After starting 10 games in the 2017 season for the Tennessee Titans, Cyprien tore his ACL during training camp in a non-contact play. The Dolphins downed the Titans in a heated and lightning-delayed game, 27-20.

JONNU SMITH (FIU - 2013-16)
Week 2 Schedule: Texans at Titans (Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET)
Former Panther Jonnu Smith made his season debut by being targeted three times and hauled in one pass for 12 yards. The Dolphins downed the Titans in a heated and lightning-delayed game, 27-20.

JEREMIAH MCKINNON (FIU - 2012-15)
Week 2 Schedule: Browns at Saints (Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET)
Member of the Cleveland Browns practice squad. The Steelers and the Browns played to a dramatic, rain-soaked draw.  

DIEUGOT JOSEPH (FIU - 2012-16)
Week 2 Schedule: Dolphins at Jets (Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET)
Member of the New York Jets practice squad. The Jets beat the Lions on the 2018 debut of Monday Night Football, 48-17.
 
PHAROAH MCKEVER (FIU - 2017)
Week 2 Schedule: Browns at Saints (Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET)
Member of the Cleveland Browns practice squad. The Steelers and the Browns played to a dramatic, rain-soaked draw.  

ALEX MCGOUGH (FIU - 2014-16)
Week 2 Schedule: Seahawks at Bears (Monday, 7:15 p.m. ET)
Member of the Seattle Seahawks practice squad. The Seahawks fell in the season opener to the Broncos.

ANTHONY WINT (FIU - 2014-17)
Week 2 Schedule: Dolphins at Jets (Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET)
Member of the New York Jets practice squad. The Jets beat the Lions on the 2018 debut of Monday Night Football, 48-17.
