MIAMI (Sept. 12, 2018) – FIU hosts Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. ET, as the Panthers close out the final game before the women's soccer C-USA action begins on Sunday. 

FIU will face FGCU on Thursday, before welcoming UTEP on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET to open C-USA play.

FLORIDA GULF COAST PREVIEW
FGCU enters Thursday's match unbeaten with a 5-0-1 mark on the year. The Eagles were 5-0-0 on the year before earning a scoreless draw on the road against Dayton last Sunday. Evdokia Popadinova leads the Eagles with 12 points on the season, after scoring five goals and adding two assists. 
 
UTEP PREVIEW
The Miners have mustarded a 4-3-1 record on the young season, but are 0-2-1 on the road so far. Lauren Crenshaw leads UTEP with seven points this season, after netting three goals and adding an assist. 
 
INSIDE THE SERIES
FIU is 1-8-1 all-time against FGCU. The Panthers are 1-1-0 against the Miners, with the two squads only playing during the C-USA era. 
 
WELCOME TO MIAMI
Freshman Kédie Johnson made her first appearance as a Panther last weekend, with the Trinidad & Tobago native seeing 84 total minutes of action against Texas Tech and SMU. The freshman earned a start against SMU, playing 52 minutes at forward.

JACK STRIKES TWICE
Freshman Kaydeen Jack had a breakout game against SMU on Sept. 9, as she scored two goals for the Panthers in defeat. The two-score game is the first for any Panther since Alyssa Robinson achieved the feat on Aug. 21, 2016 against USF.

FIU hits the road next week, with a visit to Charlotte, North Carolina to face Charlotte on Thursday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. ET. The Panthers will continue their trek north on Sunday, Sept. 23 as FIU faces Marshall at 1 p.m. ET.
