MIAMI (Sept. 18, 2018) – Week 2 of the NFL regular season is in the books, so now it's time to recap how former FIU Panthers performed in last week's games.    
 
FIU currently has eight former Panthers in the NFL, headlined by former standouts T.Y. Hilton, Johnathan Cyprien and Jonnu Smith. Below is a full rundown of FIU's current players in the NFL and how they did in week 2.
 
T.Y. HILTON (FIU - 2009-11)
Week 3 Schedule: Colts at Eagles (Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET)
Former Panther great T.Y. Hilton was targeted 11 times, hauling in 83 yards receiving and a touchdown on seven catches. The Colts beat the Redskins to win 21-9.
 
JOHNATHAN CYPRIEN (FIU - 2009-12)
Week 3 Schedule: Titans at Jaguars (Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET)
After starting 10 games in the 2017 season for the Tennessee Titans, Cyprien tore his ACL during training camp in a non-contact play. The Titans survived a late comeback by Texans to win 20-17.

JONNU SMITH (FIU - 2013-16)
Week 3 Schedule: Titans at Jaguars (Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET)
Former Panther Jonnu Smith saw action, but did not any accumulate any statistics. The Titans survived a late comeback by Texans to win 20-17.

JEREMIAH MCKINNON (FIU - 2012-15)
Week 3 Schedule: Jets at Browns (Thursday, 8:20 p.m. ET)
Member of the Cleveland Browns practice squad. The Saints scored 18 fourth quarter points to down the Browns 21-18. 

DIEUGOT JOSEPH (FIU - 2012-16)
Week 3 Schedule: Jets at Browns (Thursday, 8:20 p.m. ET)
Member of the New York Jets practice squad. The Jet's second half comeback fell short as the Dolphins outlasted the Jets, 20-12.

PHAROAH MCKEVER (FIU - 2017)
Week 2 Schedule: Jets at Browns (Thursday, 8:20 p.m. ET)
Member of the Cleveland Browns practice squad. The Saints scored 18 fourth quarter points to down the Browns 21-18. 

ALEX MCGOUGH (FIU - 2014-16)
Week 2 Schedule: Cowboys at Seahawks (Monday, 4:25 p.m. ET)
Member of the Seattle Seahawks practice squad. The Seahawks fell to the Bears on Monday Night Football, 24-17. The Jet's second half comeback fell short as the Dolphins outlasted the Jets, 20-12.
