MIAMI (Sept. 25, 2018) - With the calendar switched from summer to fall, the FIU women's basketball team held its first official practice on Tuesday morning as the Panthers prepare for the 2018-19 season.

The squad was up early on Tuesday, as the team began its first official practice at 6 a.m. ET. The Panthers worked on fundamentals, while going through team and group drills. 

FIU returns four players from last season's team, with the Panthers looking to improve from their 8-21 record a year ago. The 2018-19 roster will feature 11 players in total, with three Panthers being true freshmen and four transferring to FIU over the offseason. 

The 2018-19 season will commence on Tuesday, Nov. 6 as the Panthers host Miami at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center. A tipoff time has yet to be announced for the season opener against the Hurricanes.
