LUBBOCK, Texas - (Sept. 7, 2018) – FIU fell to Texas Tech by a 6-0 decision on Friday night, opening the first leg of the Lone Star State trip for the Panthers.
The Red Raiders scored twice in the first 45 minutes, before earning four goals in the second half to close out the contest.
FIU only earned two shots on the night, with
Kaydeen Jack and
Michaela Rouse picking up one each. Freshman goalkeeper
Christina Velazquez earned a career-high 12 saves after facing 18 shots on goal.
UP NEXT
FIU closes out the weekend trip against SMU on Sunday at 8 ET, before coming home to cap the non-conference slate against Florida Gulf Coast on Sept. 13.
