MIAMI (Oct. 10, 2019) - The FIU volleyball team welcomes Charlotte and WKU this weekend, as the Panthers continue their homestand at the Ocean Bank Convocation Center.

The Panthers face Charlotte on Friday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. ET, before capping the weekend against WKU on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. ET.

FIU enters the weekend with an 8-6 mark overall and 1-2 in C-USA action. The Panthers are fresh off a five-set victory over Florida Atlantic last Sunday. 

SCOUTING CHARLOTTE
The 49ers are 11-8 overall on the season and 1-2 in conference play. Charlotte's most recent win came in a five-set victory over Winthrop on Tuesday, before making the trip down to Miami. FIU holds a 5-4 lead in the all-time series over Charlotte, but the 49ers have won the last three matches over the Panthers. 

SCOUTING WKU 
WKU enters the weekend with an impressive 17-1 overall record on the year and a perfect 3-0 mark in league action. WKU was receiving votes in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll. The Hilltoppers' only blemish on this season came against ACC foe Louisville on Sept. 6, before reeling off a 13-match winning streak. The head-to-head series between the Panthers and Hilltoppers dates back to 2000, with WKU holding a 28-8 record over FIU.

FIU continues its homestand with Florida Gulf Coast (Oct. 16) and UTEP (Oct. 18) next week.
