MIAMI (Oct. 12, 2019) – The FIU women's soccer team returns to their home pitch on Sunday to face a Conference USA foe, as the Panthers host WKU at FIU Soccer Stadium on Oct. 13.
The Panthers and Hilltoppers are set to face off at 1 p.m. ET in Miami, Florida.

WKU PREVIEW
The Hilltoppers have posted a 7-4-1 record thus far in 2019, including a 2-1-1 mark on the road. WKU has posted a 3-2 record in Conference USA this season. The Hilltoppers finished last season 5-8-4 (3-5-2 C-USA) and posted a 1-8 mark on the road.

FIU trails WKU 5-10-3 in the all-time series, with the last matchup resulting in a 4-0 victory for the Hilltoppers on Oct. 5, 2018 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The last time FIU defeated WKU was back on Sept. 20, 2012, as the Panthers claimed a 1-0 victory in overtime.

Sophomore Rayquel Berry is leading the Panthers with nine points this season, marking a career high for Berry. The local Miami product has scored four goals in 2019, tying her mark from last season.

Three first-year Panthers are making an impact for FIU in 2019, as Ellen Halseth, Yolanda Albalat Collado, and Laura Chavez are responsible for a sum of 17 points. Freshman Halseth and junior-transfer Albalat Collado are tied for second on FIU with seven points each in 2019, while Albalat Collado is leading the team with three assists. Junior transfer Chavez has contributed a goal and an assist this season for a sum of three points.
