MIAMI (Oct. 17, 2019) - The No. 12 ranked FIU men's soccer team is set to collide with a ranked Conference USA rival, as the Panthers welcome No. 10 Charlotte to Miami on Friday night.
The undefeated Panthers are scheduled for a 7 p.m. ET kickoff against the 49ers. The matchup will be aired on ESPN+.

CHARLOTTE PREVIEW
Charlotte has posted an 8-1-3 record thus far in the 2019 campaign, including a 4-0-1 record on the road. The 49ers are currently in second place within the C-USA standings, holding 11 points and a 3-0-2 record in conference play. After starting the season undefeated, the 49ers suffered their first loss of 2019 at the hands of Georgia State this past Tuesday, Oct. 15th. Defense has been a strength for Charlotte this season as they lead C-USA with a 0.62 team goals against average, which is also good for 13th best in the nation. The 49ers have posted five shutouts in the 2019 campaign.
INSIDE THE SERIES
FIU trails Charlotte in the all-time series, as the Panthers have posted a 5-7-1 record against the 49ers. Last time FIU faced the 49ers in Miami was on Sept. 23, 2017, with that match resulting in a 2-2 draw for the Panthers. FIU has yet to defeat Charlotte since joining C-USA in 2013, as the Panthers look for their first victory against the 49ers since the 1996 season.
AMONG THE NATION'S BEST
FIU enters the week tied for second overall in the country in total assists (36). The Panthers are also third overall in points (106), goals (35), points-per-game (8.83), goals-per-game (2.92), and assists-per-game (3).
LEADING CONFERENCE USA
FIU ranks first in several C-USA offensive categories this season, including points, goals, goals-per-game, assists, and assists-per-game.
Alessandro Campoy currently leads C-USA with 2.9 shots-per-game and ranks third with 29 total shots.

Andrew Booth, and Campoy are tied for third in C-USA with five goals each. Goalkeeper
Daniel Gagliardi ranks second in C-USA with 46 saves and a 0.793 save percentage.
C-USA PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mohamed Conde was awarded C-USA Offensive Player of the Week following his impressive performance last week against FGCU (Oct. 8) and No. 16 Kentucky (Oct. 13). Conde had two assists in a 3-2 double-overtime victory over the Eagles, before scoring the game-winning goal in the final two minutes against the Wildcats. The award for Conde marks the fourth time in 2019 that FIU has seen a player selected as the C-USA Offensive Player of the Week, as

Caleb Franke (9/23) have also earned the recognition.
DEEP PANTHER PACK
FIU has seen productive play throughout the roster to fuel an 9-0-3 start to the 2019 campaign. Sixteen different Panthers have logged either a goal or an assist this season. Thirteen Panthers have logged a goal thus far in 2019, while 14 players have contributed an assist. An impressive total of 11 Panthers have logged both a goal and an assist.
