MIAMI (Oct. 23, 2019) - It is a surprise to no one that
Maha Gouda has picked up her third C-USA Diver of the Week superlative, announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.
On the year, Gouda has won three of the four weekly C-USA honors for divers. For the stellar sophomore, this is her seventh time receiving the recognition during her FIU career.
The award follows yet another successful weekend from the springboard events at the fifth-annual Dual-A-Pool-Ooza, in which FIU hosted Tulane, Denver and Rice at the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center.
Against the Green Wave, Gouda posted a second-place finish from the 3-meter board with a score of 305.85. Versus conference foe Rice, Gouda won the 1-meter event with her score of 313.85 and was victorious against Denver from the 3-meter when she posted a score of 347.55, which also marks as a new program record.
The Panthers went 1-2 over the weekend, with a 135-89 win over Tulane and a pair of narrow defeats at the hands of Rice (102-100) and Denver (103-102).

The Panthers are back int the pool to host Miami and Illinois on Nov.1-2 with action scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. ET.
