MIAMI (Oct. 24, 2019) - The FIU volleyball team continues Conference USA action this weekend, as the Panthers trek to Louisiana Tech and Rice.
FIU will take on LA Tech on Friday, Oct. 25 at 8 p.m. ET, before closing out the weekend at Rice for a 2 p.m. ET contest.
The Panthers will attempt to get back into the winning column, as the Panthers seek their first win since downing Charlotte on Oct. 11 in five sets.
Fiorella Murillo has led FIU this season in the kill department, racking up 193 on the season pace the Panthers and rank ninth in the conference.
LA TECH PREVIEW
The Techsters will enter the weekend with an 11-9 mark overall and 1-5 record in C-USA play. Last time out, LT dropped a three-set contest to Rice at home. Kaitlyn Adams leads the squad in kills, after racking up 177 on the year.
RICE PREVIEW
The Owls of Rice, ranked 19th overall in the nation, enter the weekend with an impressive 18-1 mark overall and spotless 7-0 record in league action. Rice's lone loss this season came to Stephen F. Austin in mid-September, as the Owls bounced back the next match to upset No. 3 Texas at home. Nicole Lennon has poured in 315 kills on the year to lead the Owls in 2019.

After FIU's weekend road swing, the Panthers will return for a three-match homestand beginning with North Texas on Friday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. ET.
