10/30/2019 3:42:00 PM

MIAMI (Oct. 30, 2019) - FIU hosts its final game of 2019 at Riccardo Silva Stadium, as the Panthers welcome Old Dominion for a noon kickoff on Saturday, Nov. 2.

This Saturday's game will serve as Senior Day for FIU, as the Panthers will cap their Riccardo Silva Stadium portion of the home slate. FIU will host its final home game of the season at Marlins Park on Nov. 23 as the Panthers host the Miami Hurricanes. For complete game notes, click here

SCOUTING THE MONARCHS
ODU enters the game with a 1-7 overall record and 0-4 mark in C-USA play. The Monarchs only win of the season came against Norfolk State to open the year, while ODU has played in-state foes Virginia and Virginia Tech tough as well after holding brief leads before dropping both contests.

The Monarchs only have two passing touchdowns on the year, as ODU averages 14.5 points per game. Blake Watson has been the most productive player for the Monarchs this season, as he ranks 11th in the nation for kickoff return average (27.8).

SENIOR CLASS WINS
The 2019 senior class has won 24 games during their four years at FIU, which ranks as the second-most at FIU. That total ranks only behind the 2018 senior class, who had 26 wins.

FIU LEADS NATION IN PUNT RETURN AVERAGE
FIU ranks first in the nation for punt return average (28.1) and punt return average defense (-2.29) as the special teams continue to excel in 2019. Additionally, FIU is just one of four schools this season to return at least two punt returns for a touchdown. The other three schools are Alabama (2), Tennessee (2) and LSU (2).

O-LINE/D-LINE TURNAROUND
Before FIU's three-game win streak, the Panthers had allowed six sacks and earned only three. Since then, FIU has allowed just two sacks and have gotten to the quarterback six times in only three games. Furthermore, the Panther O-line ranks third in the C-USA and 32nd nationally for allowed tackles for loss per game (4.88).

MORGAN NEARING CAREER PASSING MARK
James Morgan is only six touchdown passes shy of tying the career touchdown mark (42) at FIU set by Josh Padrick from 2003-06. Morgan has 50 touchdowns for his collegiate career, with 16 coming at Bowling Green.
