BOCA RATON, Florida (Nov. 1, 2019) - Despite a late goal, the FIU women's soccer team was unable to overcome FAU in the 2019 regular-season finale, as the Panthers fell by a score of 2-1 to the Owls on Friday night.

With the loss FIU finishes the season 2-15 overall and 0-10 in league play. FAU improves to 14-3 and 8-1-1, as the Owls shift their focus to preparing for the C-USA Tournament next week. 

FAU notched goals in the 36th and 50th minute to go up 2-0, before Rayquel Berry notched her fifth goal of the season in the 77th minute to narrow the gap.

Christina Velazquez finished the match with five saves between the posts for FIU.
