WEST LAFAYETTE, Indiana (Nov. 21,2019) - The first day of competition at the Purdue Invitational is in the rearview mirror as the FIU swim and dive team sits in fourth place with 155.5 points.

Day one consisted of a six-event program in which Maha Gouda was the winner from the 3-meter springboard and set a FIU school record in the process.

"The ladies stepped up today and competed hard," said head coach Randy Horner. "The divers were dominant again versus top competition and there were a lot of great swims today. We still have a lot of built on for the rest of the weekend."
