MIAMI (Nov. 28, 2019) - The FIU women's basketball team will conclude its four-game homestand this weekend, as the Panthers host the annual FIU Thanksgiving Classic on Friday, Nov. 29 and Sunday, Dec. 1.

FIU will welcome Oakland, Northern Kentucky and Jacksonville State to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center. The Panthers will play Oakland on Friday, Nov. 29 with tipoff at 12 p.m. ET. FIU will close out the tournament on Sunday, Dec. 1 as they face Northern Kentucky at 2 p.m. ET.

OAKLAND PREVIEW
The Grizzlies are 2-3 on the season, after falling to No.15 Michigan State 76-56 and Niagara 77-63 on the road before heading to South Florida for the tournament. 

NORTHERN KENTUCKY PREVIEW
Northern Kentucky is 2-4 on the season after picking up its first two victories of the year at home against University of Nebraska at Omaha and University of Central Arkansas. 

INSIDE THE SERIES
This will be the first time in program history the Panthers will face either the Oakland Grizzlies or the Northern Kentucky Norse.

NEWCOMERS
The Panthers welcome seven newcomers to the roster, with four being true freshmen, two being transfers and a walk-on juco transfer.

UP NEXT
After this weekend's tournament, FIU will hit the road for the second time this season as they head to Durham, North Carolina to face North Carolina Central on Friday, Dec. 6. Game is set for 5 p.m. ET.
