MIAMI (Dec. 18, 2019) - The FIU women's basketball team will host it's annual Holiday Hoops Showdown on Thursday, Dec. 19 and Friday, Dec. 20 to begin a three-game homestand.

FIU will welcome Grambling State, Austin Peay and Binghamton to the Ocean Bank Convocation Center. The Panthers will play Grambling State on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 12 p.m. ET and will close out the tournament on Friday, Dec. 20 at 2 p.m. ET. Friday's opponent will be determined based on Thursday's results.

GRAMBLING STATE PREVIEW
The Tigers are 1-7 on the season after dropping its last three games on the road before heading to Miami for the tournament.

AUSTIN PEAY PREVIEW
The Governors are 6-2 on the season after picking up a 67-61 victory at Alabama A&M on Saturday. 

BINGHAMTON PREVIEW
The Bearcats are 9-1 on the season after dropping its first game on the road against Miami on Tuesday night. Binghmaton fell 79-56 to the Hurricanes. 

JISELLE ON THE COURT 
Jiselle Thomas has posted four games in double figures. Of those four games, three have been 20-or-more point games. The Norwalk, Ohio junior leads the team in points per game (13.1), free throws per game (3.4), and steals per game (1.1) while ranking second in rebounds per game (4.1) and assists per game (1.5) Thomas was named to the FIU Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament team after averaging 12.0 ppg to close out November.
