COMPLETE RESULTS
GENEVA, OH (Feb 9, 2019) - The FIU Panthers concluded the regular season portion of their indoor competitionschedule at the SPIRE Division I Classic Saturday, coming back to Miami with four victories and numerous top three finishes.

Clarissa Cutliff continued her perfect season, with a victory in the high jump at 1.78m, her third first place finish in three meets this year.
Kenflore Atilus also finished strong in the event, placing 6
th of twenty-three entries.

In the long jump, freshman
Rayquel Berry earned her first college victory with a mark of 5.82m – a PR.
Terrisa Russell's first place finish came in the weight throw with an effort of 19.38m, nearly two meters ahead of the next competitor.
Harrison Mancke and
Trinavia Williams also placed in the top five of that event.

The impressive performances continued throughout the weekend, with
Jada Roberson placing 2
nd in the women's 60m in 7.53, 3
rd in the 200m in 24.65, and
Terneka Gibson 2
nd in the 200m in 24.72.

On the distance side,
Sherilene Gelderblom finished 4
th in the mile in 5:01.16, a season best.

The men's squad saw a number of standout performances as well. Queshun Watson-Riggins earned a victory in the triple jump with a mark of 14.78m, and also placed third in the long jump at 7.02m, his second best effort of the indoor season.

Freshman
Larry Grier earned a 3
rd place finish in the 200m in 21.80, a personal best.
Royer Baez clocked 1:55.6 in his first 800 of the indoor season, good for 10
th place in a field of twenty-six.
Eliseo Torres continued an impressive freshman campaign, setting a PR in the 5000m, crossing the line in 15:50.94.

The Panthers will now prepare for the Conference USA Championships, taking place next week on February 16-17 in Birmingham, AL.
