DALLAS (March 19, 2019) - FIU sophomore
Reed Service's strong 2019 outdoor debut has earned him Conference USA Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Service, the second year Panther from Tampa, competed in the long jump at the Hurricane Invitational, finishing with a mark of 7.35m in the event. His performance was the top collegiate jump at the event. The distance ranks first in C-USA and is tied for 11th in the country.
Service was also a member of the 4x100 team at FIU's opening meet in Coral Gables.
Last season as a freshman, Service finished seventh in the event at the C-USA Outdoor Championships.
