ORLANDO (March 23, 2019) - FIU senior All-American
Clarissa Cutliff tied her personal best in the high jump to attain the top mark in the NCAA this season, while
Terrisa Russell picked up a victory in the discus and
Terneka Gibson in the 400 as the Panthers concluded their second weekend of outdoor competition at the UCF Invite in Orlando on Saturday afternoon.

Cutliff, coming off a victory to open the season at the Hurricane Invitational, jumped 1.85m (6'0.75") for the victory, a mark she last jumped nearly a year ago at UM. The jump is currently tops in the NCAA, .04m ahead of the second-ranked jumper, Tyra Gittens from Texas A&M.

Russell, who earned a victory in the hammer throw on Friday, took the win this time in the discus, with a throw of 53.37m. It was only .06m off her throw from last week to open the season, which was her personal best. Junior
Gabrielle Rains also impressed in the discus, finishing right behind Russell in second with a throw of 51.74m.

Gibson, a junior as well, paced the field in the 400m, crossing the line in 55.23 for first. Other standout individual performances included
Tyler Rhodes finishing third in the 110 hurdles,
Jada Roberson third in the 100,
Akeem Simmons fourth in the 400, and
Rahel Gerbretsadik fifth in the 800.

In the relays, the Panther women's 4x100 team of
Jada Roberson,
Sydnee Wilkerson,
Kayla Woulard, and
Terneka Gibson took third overall with a time of 47.19

The Panthers will gear up for the prestigious Florida Relays, which will take place next Thursday through Saturday in Gainesville, Florida.Â
