DALLAS (April 16, 2019)  – Conference USA has announced three date changes to its 2019 football schedule, with FIU's game against Louisiana Tech in late September being one of those. 

FIU and La Tech will play on Friday, Sept. 20, changing from the originally scheduled Saturday game in Ruston. 
 
The three games, with their new date and kickoff time, are as follows:
 
Fri., Sept. 20        FIU at Louisiana Tech                      8 p.m. EDT/7 p.m. CDT
Fri., Oct. 18          Marshall at Florida Atlantic               6:30 p.m. EDT/5:30 p.m. CDT
Fri., Nov. 15         Louisiana Tech at Marshall               7 p.m. EDT/6 p.m. CDT
 
The changes all involve contests moving from Saturday to Friday night as part of C-USA's television agreements. The broadcast network and other details for these games will be released at a later date.

Entering its 18th year of football in 2019, the FIU Panthers are coming off a program-best nine wins a season ago. FIU capped 2018 with a 35-32 victory over Toledo in the Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl to finish the season 9-4 overall. Under legendary head coach Butch Davis, the Panthers have earned back-to-back bowl appearances and 17 wins in the last two years.
