DALLAS (April 16, 2019) - FIU senior Terrisa Russell earned C-USA Field Athlete of the Week honors Tuesday after her strong performance at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational. 

Russell earned a victory in the hammer throw with mark of 62.55m, a PR, and placed second in the discus with a throw of 56.06m, also a personal best. 

Russell's discus marks are currently fifth in the East Region and 14th in the NCAA, while her hammer marks are 17th in the East Region and 27th in the NCAA. 

The senior from Fort Lauderdale has four victories this outdoor season, as she looks to defend her C-USA hammer title in May and continue her pursuit of advancing to the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
