MIAMI (May 13, 2019) - The FIU women's swim and dive team achieved its highest grade point average in program history this past semester, as the Panthers posted a 3.62 cumulative average to achieve the impressive milestone.
"The ladies killed it in the classroom this spring. They continue to raise the bar and exceed it, I could not be more proud of how we are getting the job done in the classroom," said Head Coach
Randy Horner
Coming off another successful season and their fifth-consecutive C-USA title, the Panthers have proven their domination in the pool and in the classroom. Of the 32 members on the team, four student-athletes completed the semester with a 4.0 GPA, while 23 achieved above a 3.5 GPA.
The accomplishment ranks the Panthers as the second-highest women's team GPA at FIU, with the women's golf team holding the highest GPA with a cumulative average of 3.74.
