DALLAS (Jan. 8, 2020) - FIU swim and dive's Maha Gouda was named Conference USA's Diver of the Week for the fourth time this year, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon. 

The recognition follows weeks of impressive diving including qualifying of the Olympics in December. 

Over the holiday break, Gouda attended the African Games, earning three gold medals and a trip to the 2020 Olympics from the 10-meter platform. From the African Games she went on to attend the Egyptian Nationals Competition from Dec.26-28, picking up five gold medals and two silver medals. She posted a lifetime-best score from the 10-meter platform event (307) and was awarded Best Diver Cup for Women.

Most recently at the 2020 Sprint Invite on Saturday Jan. 4, Gouda picked up first place from the 1-meter spring board with a score of 309.80.
