Series History
The Panthers lead the all-time series with the Saints of Flagler 5-4, but the two Florida schools have not played since 1986. FIU is currently on a four-game winning streak in the series.

Putting In Work Defensively
In the early going of the 2020-21 season, the Panthers have stepped up their game on the defensive end of the court, ranking in the top 130 nationally in blocked shots per game (129th) and turnovers forced per game (15th). FIU paces all of Conference USA, averaging 23.33 forced turnovers per contest while averaging the third-most blocks with 3.3 per game.

Panther Sharpshooters
Led by Kyla Nelson, FIU's offense has come out of the gates firing on all cylinders from behind the arc. The Panthers lead all of C-USA with nine made threes per game, which is good enough to rank 31st nationally.

Ekpiteta Grabbing Boards
Emerald Ekpiteta is also making her presence know. The grad transfer from Niagara leads all of C-USA on the glass, averaging 12.0 rebounds per contest, which ranks ninth nationally.

In FIU's blowout win over Florida Memorial, Ekpiteta pulled down 13 rebounds and 10 points for the first FIU double-double of the year.

All The Points
FIU's offensive explosion of 96 points against Florida Memorial on Monday, Dec. 14, was the most by a Panther squad in a game since they scored 96 against Southern Miss on Feb. 16, 2014.

The Insurmountable
The Panthers' 39-point victory over Florida Memorial on Monday, Dec. 14, was the largest margin of victory for FIU since joining the C-USA in 2013-14.

Six of a Kind
FIU's game against Florida Memorial was the only time since joining the C-USA that a total of six Panthers ended the game with double-figures in points.

Up Next
After hosting Flager on Wednesday, the Panthers will welcome FGCU for a two-game set beginning on Sunday, Dec. 20, and concluding on Monday, Dec. 21. Both tips are slated for noon and can be streamed on CUSA.tv.
