TAMPA, Florida (Feb. 22, 2020) - The FIU softball team fell in a pair of tough decisions on Saturday, as the Panthers closed out the second day of the USF Tournament in Tampa, Florida.
FIU dropped a 4-2 decision to UCF, before falling in extra innings to USF, 5-4.
Brittany Phillips and
Jessica Rivera smashed their first home runs of the season, with Phillips' long ball coming against the Knights and Rivera's against the Bulls. Rivera drove in four runs against USF to go along with her 2-5 effort at the plate.

FIU will close out play in Tampa, Florida on Sunday as the Panthers take on UCF for the second time this weekend. First pitch is slated for 9:00 a.m. ET.
