Softball Closes Out Weekend in Tampa

Panthers drop Sunday contest to UCF

TAMPA, Florida (Feb. 23, 2020) - The FIU softball team dropped its contest to UCF on Sunday morning, as the Panthers concluded play in Tampa over the weekend. 

Despite the game being 3-1 for most of the contest, the Panthers fell 7-1 after a four-run sixth inning by UCF.

Alexis Johns had a great day at the dish, hitting 3-4 in the lead-off spot to lead the Panthers. The sophomore leads the team with 12 hits overall on the year. 

UP NEXT
FIU travels to Longwood, Florida next weekend as the Panthers take on Dartmouth, Kentucky, Detroit Mercy, Albany and Western Michigan.
