CLEVELAND, Ohio (March 12, 2020) - The FIU swimming and diving team finished second in the shortened National Invitational Championships in Cleveland, Ohio, with the Panthers earning 288 points on the opening day.
Sara Gyertyanffy won gold in the 50 breast event and posted a new NIC meet record with her time of 28.02.
Stephanie Hussey earned silver in the 500 free after a lifetime-best time of 4:48.00.
The Panthers capped Thursday with the 400 medley relay, as FIU earned silver in the event after the team of
Michaela Trnkova,
Taylor Grabenhorst, Hussey and
Lamija Medosevic swam a time of 3:37.62.
