MIAMI (March 4, 2020) - The FIU women's basketball team returns home to host Marshall on Thursday, March 5. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.

MARSHALL PREVIEW
The Thundering Herd is 11-16 overall and 6-10 in C-USA play. Marshall dropped two at home last week, falling to ODU (64-54) and North Texas (77-69).

INSIDE THE SERIES
FIU trails in the series against Marshall 8-4. The Panthers and Thundering Herd last faced earlier this season on Jan. 30, 2020 in Huntington. FIU picked up a 68-65 victory against Marshall on the road. 

JISELLE ON THE COURT 
Jiselle Thomas posted a triple-double on Saturday, Jan. 18 against Middle Tennessee after earning 18 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals. Thomas became just the fifth player in program history to record a triple-double and the first since 2002 for the Panthers. In addition, Thomas was the ninth player in C-USA history to achieve the feat. The Norwalk, Ohio native leads the team in points per game (10.9), free throws per game (2.4) and steals per game (1.1), while ranking second in assists per game (1.6) and rebounds per game (4.4).  

CHELSEA IN THE STATS
Almada, Portugal native Chelsea Guimaraes leads the team and ranks 11th in C-USA for rebounds per game (7.4), while topping FIU in blocked shots per game (1.1) and ranking second in points per game (9.7) and free throws per game (1.9).
