MIAMI (March 6, 2020) - The FIU softball team earned a 4-2 victory on Friday night, as the Panthers defeated Ball State to continue action over the weekend at Felsberg Field.
FIU improves to 7-8 on the year with the win, while Ball State drops to 16-8.Â
Allison Muraskin pitched her seventh complete game of the year in the win, after allowing just three hits and striking out six batters. Muraskin is now 6-2 on the year.Â
Alexis Johns and
Kayla Whitehead led the Panthers at the plate with a pair of hits each.
Venessa Gallegos hit her first homer of the season in the second inning, as she gave the Panthers the early 2-1 lead.Â
