MIAMI (March 6, 2020) - The FIU women's basketball team welcomes UTSA to Miami on Saturday, March 7. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. ET.

Saturday's contest will also serve as Senior Day. FIU will honor Paula Orenes, Chelsea Guimaraes, Bre'Osha Scott and Ieva Spigule for their efforts on the court in Blue & Gold.

UTSA ROADRUNNERS PREVIEW
The Roadrunners are 6-22 overall and 2-15 in conference play. UTSA dropped its last two games at home, falling to UAB (87-51) and LA Tech (69-30).

INSIDE THE SERIES
FIU trails 5-7 in the all-time series against UTSA. The Panthers and Roadrunners last faced earlier this season on Jan. 4, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. FIU dropped a 60-45 result against UTSA.

JISELLE ON THE COURT 
Jiselle Thomas posted a triple-double on Saturday, Jan. 18 against Middle Tennessee after earning 18 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals. Thomas became just the fifth player in program history to record a triple-double and the first since 2002 for the Panthers. In addition, Thomas was the ninth player in C-USA history to achieve the feat. The Norwalk, Ohio native leads the team in points per game (11.1), free throws per game (2.4) and steals per game (1.1), while ranking second in assists per game (1.6) and rebounds per game (4.4).

CHELSEA IN THE STATS
Almada, Portugal native Chelsea Guimaraes leads the team and ranks 11th in C-USA for rebounds per game (7.5), while topping FIU in blocked shots per game (1.1) and ranking second in points per game (9.7) and free throws per game (1.9).
