MIAMI (March 7, 2020) - Led by
Jiselle Thomas' 18 points off the bench, the FIU women's basketball team closed out the season with a 71-63 victory, as the Panthers downed the UTSA Roadrunners on Senior Day.
With the 71-63 victory, the Panthers close out the 2019-20 season with a 6-23 record overall and 3-15 mark in league play. UTSA falls to 6-23 overall and 2-16 in conference action to end the year.Â

The Panthers trailed by three at halftime, but outscored the Roadrunners in the final 20 minutes to earn the eight-point victory.Â
The 18 points for Thomas was a game-high, while she was just one rebound shy of a double-double to cap her stellar performance.
Fujika Nimmo and Guimaraes scored in double figures as well, as the pair posted 16 and 12 respectively. Guimaraes also grabbed 12 rebounds to earn her eighth double-double of the year.Â
