MIAMI (March 9, 2020) - The FIU women's tennis team earned its fifth-straight win on Monday, as the Panthers defeated Boston University 4-1 at home.

The win moves FIU's record to 8-2 overall for the year. 

FIU won the doubles point to begin Monday's match, before winning on three courts in singles play to down the visiting Terriers, 4-1.

Basak Akbas clinched the win for FIU, after a thrilling three-set decision on court four. Kristina Miletic and Marina Alcaide earned a pair of wins as well on Monday, with victories in doubles and singles play for the Panthers.

FIU continues its homestand on Thursday, March 12 against Yale. First serve is slated for noon.
