MIAMI (April 6, 2020) - First up in our Q&A series with FIU football is wide receiver, Bryce Singleton. After missing last year due to injury, Singleton has his sights set on a big return to the field in 2020.

The South Carolina native had an impressive first year at FIU, landing the wide receiver on the 2017 C-USA All-Freshman Team. Singleton's three-touchdown game to cap the 2017 regular season against UMass, stands out as one of the greatest single-game performances of all-time at FIU.

Singleton is now preparing for his junior season at FIU, as he took time for a virtual Q&A with FIUSports.com.

Q: Why the jersey number change from No. 9 to No. 2?
A: "I changed to No. 2 because the No. 9 had too much baggage behind it, especially with the injury I was dealing with last year. I've worn No. 2 since I was a kid, so I thought it would be good to get back to the old days."

Q: How does it feel to play for Butch Davis?
A: Coach Davis is a great coach. He shows the team his love for the game of football day-in and day-out. Coach Davis makes me want to excel more as a player and a person."

Q: What makes the WR group special this year?
A: "I think what makes this group special is that we have a lot of guys that can move around and play any position at any time. So that will make us a dangerous group next year."

Q: Who are your roommates and how do you guys get along?
A: "My roommates are Kaylan Wiggins, Benny McCray and Daniel Jackson. I'm glad they put us all together because we all get along and I'm always on their side of the room."

Q: What are your goals for 2020?
A: Get healthy, stay healthy and dominate!"

Q: If you could pick any past or present DB to go up against, who would it be and why?
A: "I don't remember the kid's name, but it was a playoff game my junior year of high school. He was talking trash the whole time and got me out of my game. I would really like to get a rematch with him now."

Q: Who was your first pro jersey?
A: "A white Michael Vick Falcons jersey."

Q: What shows on Netflix are you binging right now?
A: "El Chapo and On the Block."
